Well…I might be biased, but my favorite is the Cafe Capriccio located in Downtown Albany at 49 Grand St. METROLAND named it the CAPITAL REGION’S BEST RESTAURANT OVER THE PAST 30 YEARS! It’s right next to a huge parking lot that you can use in the evening…no parking hassles!

My cousin Jimmy, founder of Cafe Capriccio, is celebrating another page in his 30+ year restaurant experience…turning over the Cafe’s kitchen to his son, Franco. Franco’s culinary brilliance shines through in many new dishes…but my favorite is Pork Catalan…a boneless, large pork chop that is smoked on a grill before being drizzled with Franco’s own Catalan sauce, ROMESCO…a blend of Spanish peppers and spices…most unique pork chop I’ve ever had!

On Friday nights, Walt Dunnaruma and his trio usually can be found in the bar area playing jazz from 8 till closing with his daughter Julia beautifully singing soulful jazz tunes.
