Fall Fashion Ideas For The Professional Male

By November 16, 2014No Comments

This Fall, there are some exciting things going on on men’s fashion!

First, flannels for those in cooler climates are popular again. A light weight flannel is recommended such as Vitale Barberis’ 270 gram flannel.

This outfit exudes confidence with its subtle detailing from the pic stitched lining to the complementary grosgrain sleeve vent trim to the charcoal bone buttons.  Add a custom blue checked shirt for a little extra British influence and our burnt orange hand-made, five-folt tie.  Wear a pair of chocolate suede shoes from Lloyd’s…Germany’s #1 premium shoe… And you have one slammin’ outfit!

Style-wise, jackets are still being shown shorter, with two button stances the most popular.  Lapels are gradually getting wider…3 1/4″ width for a lapel is fine for most guys…but that can vary depending on one’s chest size.  Clean front lines with no ticket pockets are recommended along with a shorter center vent…shortening the vent by 1″ for the average guy from 9″ to 8″ is perfect!

Pants are going through an interesting metamorphosis!  Flat front are still what one will see and most will want.  However, the fashion runways are beginning to feature pleats once again.  Flat fronts are suggested again this year and my personal choice this season is exclusively flat front pants…however, mine are slightly wider at the knee and bottom for comfort!

Ask your custom tailor about his/her flannel options for you this fall.  The jackets have enough texture oftentimes to look great over a pair of jeans for a very cool weekend casual look.
