How Do You Fold A Pocket Square-102

By March 28, 2010One Comment

I received a lot of attention to the first installment of “How do you fold a pocket square” where I explained the “straight or Hollywood Square”.  Today, we’ll move on to the “puff”.  This is the easiest way to wear a silk in your jacket’s breast pocket.

How To Fold A Pocket Square, Lesson 102- the "PUFF"If one allows 1/2-3/4″ of the puff to show, this can be a very neat and professional way to wear one’s square and would be appropriate for business dress.

For more casual occasions, one simply adjusts their puff to reveal more puff…and chooses a more vibrant color or silk with a pattern.  Remember, try to match your square to your shirt or other chest covering. (I know…the couple above have chosen to match the tie…acceptable…but not preferred.)   In the photo below, our model features a turtle neck sweater…but matches his silk “PUFF” perfectly to his sweater…while complementing the box overlay in his sport coat.
