Based on activity over the past year, a charcoal gray suit would be the clear choice.
Within the color “charcoal gray”, one has several interesting fabrics from which to choose. The first would be a traditional small twill gabardine. This is the fabric most commonly found off-the-rack from big boxes to better specialty stores. Another fabric choice would be a gray flannel. Flannel is my favorite fabric for cooler months in the Northeast from November through February. Many guys prefer an all-season fabric, rather than seasonal choices.
Overall, customers tell me that they prefer, however, today’s “sharkskin” which has a slight sheen…but nothing like what DiNiro wore in Casino (which I happened to see the other night surfing through my new DISH network!).
Below is a great sharkskin suit.
If you are looking for a versatile suit that may be worn for any occasion, from work to weddings, this charcoal sharkskin is today’s version of the “go-to” suit.
This suit is detailed with a very cool yet subtle red polka dot lining. The shirt is a micro check in light blue. The tie continues the lining theme with a great red/blue polka dot in a hand-made, five-fold version.
Watch for more ideas for building your wardrobe this year and have a great 2015!
